FORM & EMOTION
We ideated & created a new form that would evoke the chosen emotion. Further, necessary improvements were done under the faculty's guidance.
The form has to have 3 shapes square, triangle, and circle in 3 different planes.
The emotion I chose was: Moved
Discussions with people to understand their perspective of the emotion :
I tried to converse with people from different discipline to get different perspectives on the emotion. Here are some key insights I got from the discussions :
Small parts becoming whole
Engulfs you
Closer to the body & far from body at the same time
Play with the space around
Wraps you in very tender way, warm feeling
Should make you feel safe
Unexpected/ Surprise element
Personal experience - belonging, nostalgia, memories
Induces curiosity
Outside order > Inside chaos

How people visualize emotions & their meaning association :
This was a short survey done to understand- ‘how people visualize emotions & how they associate meaning to visuals’. I asked around people from different backgrounds, from different disciplines & with different past experiences with the chosen emotion (moved) to draw what comes to their mind when we make them visualize feeling moved.
